RAHANA Prisoners’ Rights- Niloofar Laripour’s sister confirmed the news of arrest and added “last night agents came to the house with my sister and took away her computer and personal belongings after a house search”.
A colleague of Laripour told the Parlemannews reporter, “Yesterday at 6:30 pm, Niloofar received a call from the Intelligence Ministry and was asked to be present at the investigation office within 30 minutes”.
Laripour’s colleague said she has no history of political activity and added, “She was asked to go to the Investigative office to answer to a few questions but was arrested upon arrival”.
As to Laripour’s professional work, her colleague emphasized, “She is the editor of songs page of the magazine which mostly focuses on religious songs dating back to ancient Iran. She has never been involved with any political party or group and her only political activity consists of supporting Mousavi’s candidacy before and during the June presidential election.”
